After tenderly stumbling down from the top bunk, when the dorm is still dark and quite, I cautiously glide over to my laptop to check my e-mail and assignments for classes. This is quickly followed by various food blogs and my rapidly growing collection of recipes... Priorities ;)
Flipping through my acquired recipe collection there is a clear commonality, the majority include either oats, berries, or both! Thus, the name of this blog, Oats & Berries. :) 
My morning proceeds with a breakfast generally consisting of, you guessed it, oats and berries, before continuing on to early classes, because that’s how I roll. 
I've always loved photography and began to appreciate food at an early age, an appreciation which has only increased over the years. It was only a matter of time before I started to document kitchen creations and my weekend project turned into a full-blown blog. We all need to eat, and the food choices we make can help or hurt our best attempts to be as healthy as we can be.  I like to try new things in the kitchen and treat myself to good and good-for you food, so that is the focus of the recipes found on this blog! Oh, and gluten-free...all the recipes on here are gluten free because I am, and have been for the past several years.

  1. Thank you so much for doing this. I have recently discovered that I have to maintain a gluten free lifestyle and the task is daunting to say the least. It is very disappointing to realize how many foods I can no longer enjoy, especially dining out.
